Campaign Supports Spring Training

click image for larger viewMore good news on the local sports front: An apparently grass-roots effort has coalesced to raise public involvement in saving spring training in Tucson.

The campaign, click here, to include television and radio ads, billboards and a Web site, was put together by a group of spring training supporters who hope to "wake people up and get them moving," said Mike Bolchalk, of Bolchalk FReY Marketing.

The movers behind the campaign are listed on the site. Bolchalk said many of those involved are donating their help to the public-awareness campaign.

Support from grass-roots and business leadership should help promote the social and economic benefits of spring training.

Planned Parenthood Wins Award for Campaign

Tucson, AZ - A public information campaign created by Bolchalk FReY Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations has won first place award from the Arizona Public Health Association.

The program created for Planned Parenthood won a HEMMY (Health Educators Media Makers Yearly) Award in the professional campaign category. The program called Real Life. Real Talk was designed to target Hispanic parents and included radio commercials in English and Spanish, newspaper advertising, posters and a teen reality video.

This is the second time the Tucson advertising agency has received an award from the state organization.
