Campaign Supports Spring Training

More good news on the local sports front: An apparently grass-roots effort has coalesced to raise public involvement in saving spring training in Tucson. The campaign, click here, to include television and radio ads, billboards and a Web site, was put together by a group of spring training supporters who hope to "wake people up and get them moving," said Mike Bolchalk, of Bolchalk FReY Marketing. The movers behind the campaign are listed on the site. Bolchalk said many of those involved are donating their help to the public-awareness campaign. Support from grass-roots and business leadership should help promote the social and economic benefits of spring training.
