| Tucson, AZ - Katrina Noble is the new
president of the local chapter of American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT). Noble,
Media Director at Michael Bolchalk Marketing, has been active with the organization since
her days at the UofA where she earned her bachelor's degree in Radio & Television. She
then worked in Phoenix at an advertising firm, where continued her membership. Noble
returned to Tucson in 1997 and became more involved in the organization as recording
secretary and by helping to organize functions. Cindy Ramirez, an AWRT Board Advisor, says that she is excited that Noble will be sharing some of the successful experiences she had while at the Phoenix chapter, and looks forward to Noble's organizational leadership. The mission of the AWRT is to promote the
advancement of women in electronic media. As president, Noble's main task is to organize
money-raising events to help achieve this goal. This includes awarding scholarships for
women entering the UofA Media Arts Department and sending AWRT members to the National
AWRT Convention in August in Chicago. |
